Drift Talk: Ratrap RC, Yokomuki, MDS and Unit 4
It has been a bit full on here lately and we haven’t really had chance to come up for air, it has been a hugely positive period for Yokomuki of late. Most of last couple of weeks have been spent getting slideshow ready for Holland cutting stickers and adding Usukani parts to his D4. I have been working closely with Zac to create a few killer new sticker designs that we will be launching soon as well as getting our new store #GETMUKI ready to launch.
Shit Just Got Real
The craziest thing to happen this week came in the shape of Ratrap RC a real bolt out of the blue, Dan contacted me on Monday night to make me an offer I couldn’t refuse. As announced yesterday on their Facebook group we are now sponsored by Ratrap RC. In our opinion they are the creators of one of the best drift tracks in the world and they have changed the hobby in the UK for the better.
Ratrap will help us promote Yokomuki and the magazine across the UK and will also be hosting a couple of dedicated Yokomuki events at NRD. They will also be sharing their wealth of knowledge with us and you to help support the drift community and putting the spotlight on those people who really make a difference to our hobby. We are mega excited about this deal and it further highlights the progress we are making, we will share more info about Ratrap/Yokomuki events when they become available.
Saturday sees another track open its doors in the UK, Tim at Unit 4 has taken the plunge and is opening a track and if it is half as cool as his bodyshell builds then it will be epic. Me, Daz, Dave and Ash are heading up to Leicester to check it out and judging by the response on Facebook so are the rest of the drifters in the UK that haven’t gone to Holland. Info for the event can be found here
Saturday the 24th of June is the birthday event of MDS the track we co-run with Team Lowlife and Team Trampdrift. It has been one hell of a year at MDS and the future is bright, I will be covering the event for a big MDS feature in issue 4 of the magazine. On the Sunday we are all heading to catch the BDC at the NEC.
